Did braces make you recessed?

What is your braces experience about your facial structure? As far as I know, braces are retractive, meaning they pull things backward.

Did you have a nice face that was made recessed by braces, or did your nice face remain nice after the braces treatment?

Nah my jaw was always small. Looking at my younger pics, my jaw was noticeably smaller than other kids

Yes. Got put into braces + elastics right before hitting puberty (12) until about 14. Kike dentist retracted both my jaws and restricted growth.
I reached my max height at 14 so I was in braces throughout the major part of my puberty
