Did my orthodontist cook me when I was younger

I believe I had a severe overbite when I was younger and my teeth were pretty bad so in 6th grade I got braces and they aligned my teeth with the use of bands and whatever else. As you can see in the first picture, my nose was straight. After growing up a bit (16 now almost 17) my nose has a bump, but that could have also been from me hitting my nose on the bottom of the pool as a kid. I can also see now that I have downward growth in my maxilla so I was wondering if this is due to braces

the past is in the past but maybe ask the orthodontist for closure.

Yeah maybe but it definitely took a lot of your forward growth away.

That’s what I was thinking. My biggest insecurity is probably my nose so eventually I will most likely end up getting surgery. Unlike this website where people fantasize over their jawline, I’m not too worried about mine so yeah it sucks but not the end of the world.

nah just genetics
If that’s the case then that sucks for me lol. I still think a factor was me hitting my nose on the bottom of the pool. I think that because it’s asymmetrical and has a bit of a bump more to the left side

i think i had a similar case bro, idk if its cope that i wish i didnt wear the fucking rubber bands

Your nose looks big as you have a downward maxilla braces maybe could have caused this but it depends on how your teeth were aligned before getting braces also this may have been caused by bad placement of the tounge and bad posture

I had a bad overbite so I’m pretty sure they had to pull the top teeth backwards so that could have affected maxilla growth (not sure) my posture was pretty good as a teen but I think my tongue position was the biggest thing because I would breathe through my nose but my mouth would tend to just be open a lot

Ima be honest I have no idea. I was just saying they cooked me as a way of coping because idk why I have downward maxilla growth
Yea I had sleep apnea for a while so I think my maxilla move down so I hope braces and bands+mouth taping+puberty helps. Look
