For most brands, drinking two or less cans per day of diet soda, so far, seems completely safe according to researchers. While everything is obviously still being studied (as well as almost every other thing), these risks are usually for what we will discuss in the future, not things like high aspartame.

It is far more complex than that. Diet soda does not directly cause weight gain, other than the five or ten calories that are in most cans. The myth that drinking diet soda directly causes weight gain is completely incorrect. However, sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose can spike hunger, leading you to consume more calories with another meal, snack, or drink, which will obviously lead to higher calorie consumption and possible weight gain.

In theory, yes, they can. This is proven by this study: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3514985/
Here’s the thing though. It is also noted that there was no vascular or heart risk associated with sugar soda or light diet soda consumption. This goes back to drinking 2 or less diet sodas a day, suggesting that there is not an elevated risk coming from the consumption of only two.

Apparently, diet soda is bad for your gut, right? While they can cause bloating, that’s generally the extent of it for most people. Studies that suggest diet soda is bad for your gut also say that it is dose dependent in healthy individuals.

Yes, diet soda can cause headaches. This is usually in headache prone people, partially due to the caffeine being a diuretic. The actual evidence for artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame correlating with headaches is relatively weak.

Diet colas specifically, and only colas, from my understanding, were proven to lower BMD in women. Women. If you are not a woman, this doesn’t seem like a worrying thing.

Thats all u need to know
I debunked that in my thread but you just started talking about some weight gain and dnrd
you don’t need to read or rep man but why would you reply if you didn’t read it it literally clearly shows there’s different sections

If you eat 5g of it you will die
by that consideration, water is toxic as well. Everything is. Water can kill you if you consume too much. So that still doesn’t make aspartame bad.

also @WilhelmThyWizard is still pretty educated, what he said was wrong but I had to research to get correct answers and whatnot. It’s all dose dependent

nah it tastes good imo if you don’t like diet soda don’t drink it though since it is filled with stuff like caffeine which i’m not a fan of personally
the study talks about dose dependency that’s why i mentioned not drinking more than two. It should not affect bones or have a negligible amount over a long period of time with this dosage.

Ooh gotchu, drinking 700 diet sodas at once would kill me. Very surprising. Just as surprised as your father was when he found out you were born and fled the town.

What you don't realize is that one 2L bottle has just 1g of aspartame. You said 700g is deadly, congratz, you'd never be able to consume that much.

Diet soda is literally 99% water and 1% sweetener, never understood why it's so excessively fearmongered "muh carcinogenic"
