You don't necessarily want to lose weight; that could involve muscle loss, only losing bf is what counts. Depending on how fat you are and how much activity you do, you should be eating in about a 300-500 calorie deficit while eating about a gram of protein for every pound of bodyweight, and sum, to retain and gain muscle.
