yo pm me and im doing aqualyx as well i already did it for my nasal labial folds.I am 16 yo and just did my first DIY Aqualyx session.
In this thread I am gonna explain all the materials u need, sources and some tips that would have helped me before my first session
I injected 5,5 ml of Aqualyx in total.
—> 3x 0,5ml in hyoid and jawline Area
—> 2x 1ml in each Buccal fat Pad
Materials
- 27g , 12-16mm Insulin needles

- Alcohol wipes
—> one‘s I used:
- Aqualyx ofc ( sold in 8ml vials just throw out the last 3ml or use it somewhere else like belly or smth if u need jfl)

- Lidocain cream or even better lidocain liquid to mix with the Aqualyx (I used cream)

Tutorial
On the hyoid ur gonna make 3 points and inject 0,5ml of Aqualyx into each Point
—> 50IU if u use a 1ml/100IU Insulin syringe like me

The red points in the picture is where ur gonna put the needle in and inject the Aqualyx
—> u only have to use around 8mm of the needle at the hyoid bc the skin is thinner and the fat pad is easier to reach
On the Buccal fat Area u have to make 2 injection points
U can also draw a Grid on ur cheek like this but it also makes it a bit more complicated and more painful bc you have to put in the needle way more often

Only picture I could find online but u get what I mean. Its more complicated and harder to always inject into the fad pad. So I personally wouldnt recommend doing it like this

Ur gonna locate the fad Pad using ur thumb and Index finger and try to feel for a soft part around ur cheek.
—> various tutorials on yt
then hold the fad pad with these two fingers and squish it a bit together to make it easier to insert the needle
U can put the full 12,7mm of the needle in bc the fat pad is located deeper than the one over ur hyoid
—> Look up Aqualyx injections on tiktok and yt to get an understanding of how to inject

Results
Trust me I would love to post immediate results but now is the third day after the injections and I am still pretty swollen.
I told my parents I did sparring against some friends of me and they fr believed it
—> rly don’t know how I always get away with these stupid ahh excuses
Ur swollen for around 4-7 days and the liquid stays in ur system for around 2 weeks.
After that it takes another 4 weeks (so 6 in total) to see the full results
—> u are also are supposed to repeat the procedure 1-2 times for the best results

Aren't you afraid of asymmetry's? how do you know you did it in the exact right spot?
Hyoid Area is free. Most easy thing to do and can’t get asymmetrical
Why Stress so much. Hitting Buccal fat Area rly isn’t that hard. Just use ur Index Finger and thumb and squish to feel for it.
Are you sure to go that deep? Afaik the buccal fat pad is 4-6mm deep and if you go deeper you risk hitting a nerve or the parotid ductRead my thread gng
But ofc u have to pinch to locate the fat Pad and u need to go the full 12.7mm deep in Buccal Area and in hyoid half of the needle is enough
