actually i've done research and both men and women are at the same risk, the reason why more women got cataracts was because women were the primary users especially in the 1930s. also hormonal changes in women and aging may cause the skew, women have an overall higher risk of cataracts

but DNP-induced cataracts don’t necessarily have a gender bias, both men and women exposed to DNP face the same risks related to mitochondrial damage and oxidative stress, which can damage the lens and lead to cataract
