Do braces ruin your face, has anyone ascended with braces or after having them?

I’ve been told they ruin your face and limit growth, is this true and does anyone have personal experience with it?

braces help unless you get them from a shady place

which is quite unlikely so it should be okay

had 8 extractions and braces for years.

face went from ugly to still ugly, not much changed.

Didn’t really notice anything now that I have braces off, tbh, it’s just ur teeth moving I doubt it would’ve been enough to recess or flatten ur maxilla,
if it did then I would’ve felt pressure on my maxilla but instead I felt pain amongst my teeth

they just fix ur teeth n make ur dental arch a bit more symmetrical and having good teeth is a good trait ig

To me they helped since i was mega recesses, It made my maxila wider but not taller, depending on the reason they can help
