Does it have any effect other than blocking the nose and breathing through the mouth?

ilnesses like silent sinus syndrome can affect someones looks drastically because it causes asymmetry, it can even mess up with eyesight. Or things like bells palsy also affect how someone looks because of muscle degeneration
