I personally don't bite down anymore while mewing. I found it causes me to have a headache. I just focus entirely on my tongue and my teeth are aligned but not fully closed and touching. As long as I have a lipseal and have my tongue at the top of my mouth I think I'm good.

Yeah. The natural resting position is actually to keep teeth a part, that's when the jaw is relaxed. Kike Jew claims that teeth should be touching while mjewing but I don't know if it's ideal
