Well once you’ve achieved the desired results and reached your cumulative dose, accutane is usually discontinued and
continuing it without need will only increase side effects without added benefit so yes if u got the results you want its best to stop taking it further

So actually I took accutane for a very long time twice, so I went to a lot of dermatologists and tried a lot of things. Something very common all of them have said is that if 2 months passes and u saw NO new acne AT ALL it means that u are probably not going to have any breakouts or new acne. the first time I used I didin’t follow this and guess what, I had another big breakout, had to use for more 5mo.
