Do I need surgery ?

My orthodontist said a rapid pallet expander would grow my mandible and maxilla allowing me to breath and it easier by widening my air pipe. However it’s still hard to breathe at night and I frequently struggle to swallow foods, sometimes rising me 2 hours to either swallow it or cough it up. If anybody knows any procedures/products that can help please share and I will talk to my ortho about it.

don’t get rpe, get marpe or fme with the reverse pull headgear

Why marpe instead of rpe ? Don’t they do the same thing? Also can’t get fme in 13 + I alr got rpe installed like 6 months ago.

What I ment by the og post was that I didn’t notice a difference before and after my pallet expansion, as I still frequently choke on things and wake up from not getting enough air during sleep.
