but I have seen results where the lips and philtrum did seem to have a better look because the alveolar process was brought forward.

lip size is pretty much predetermined genetically, based on your incisors flaring from the bone (dentoalveolar protrusion) not fw growth. You can be brutally recessed and have large lips, for example. I've seen a dude whose dad is a fw grown god and has big lips, while he is recessed af but still has big lips
