I am trying to do negatives but I don’t feel shit compared to pull downs and I feel like I can’t o negatives right

I’ll do pull downs I dislike pull upsdon't read too much into it, the most effective exercise for one person isn't the most effective for the next.
don't switch up your routine too much, pick things you enjoy doing and are good at and get better at them.

Keep trying to do pull ups. They ate the best exercise. It took me months to get the right technique but theb you will feel your lats or upper back depending on grip.3 weeks

Wider grip is more lats
Litle more than Shoulder width grip is upper back.
Technique is flexing core, flexing glutes, thinking of pulling the bar to your chest.
Do like 10 sets to failure Even if it's 3 reps but you will improve
And pull ups look better than Incel pull down machine
its not like you have a choice. You need both vertical and horizontal pull to develop your back fully.I already do rows and pulls on backday, I just hate doing rows

Pull-downs can be better because you can lift more than your bodyweight or drop the weight doing drop sets.
More importantly you want to avoid rotating your shoulder while the joint is under tension. You can do this with a neutral grip pull-up bar or neutral grip pull-down bar:

•wider arm position will put more focus on your back muscles
•narrower grip will put more focus on your biceps
