Do the surgeon give a preview of surgery implant?

to those who made surgeries with implants:
Did the surgeon give you a preview of the final result?
How do they decide the mm of the implant required to fix the lack of bones?
I saw on google some results, and sometimes it seems like they put less than required
Like the third guy, surgery was ok, but still seems a little bit boneless on frontal, and it’s not about buccal fat

I want to know too If surgeons can show you an 3D scan of how your going to look with the implant under your skin

They can but the soft tissue simulation looks shit, it will not look like “you” at all. Maybe you could find an artist who will photoshop a photo of yours based on the soft tissue simulation.

That sucks, so faceapp is better for simulation

Is it ok going to the surgeon with a faceapp editing to show what you’d like to get? (For zygos/gonail/lips ). I know some of them rejects patients for reasons like that.
But some surgeons “change” patients only of some mm and it’s like nothing has been done, others add a lot and make you look like frankestein
