It depends, the age of functioning orthognatic devices are almost always 8-14 for the most effective treatment. Twin blocks are also meant for class II malloclusions (overbite). So if you dont have an overbite it could cause a worsening of your bite. That being said they do promote a ccw rotation.

Twin blocks would help in your case, just get them as fast as possible because 14 is a little late. The sooner the better

Go for twin blocks, they are better in your case. From what ive heard posterior bite blocks dont affect skeletal structure that much and work slower, theyre also used more for open bites.

Well if you have a good ortho is just bring it up and ask for his opinion. Tell him you did a bit of research on different options and that you think itd be benificial for your case. If he listens to your request then thats basically it, if not you can look into a new ortho and just ask them straight up if its possible to get them.

what else is gonna give me ccw rotation?(orthoidontics) both my parents have good jaw genetics and i feel like not getting my tongue tie cut when i was young didnt allow me to have correct tongue posture leading to downward growth in my mandible can u lmk if that is a possible reason for downward growth?

There is a wide plethora of reasons.

Tounge tie is possible, would have to be moderetly to major though.

Poor nose breathing is another one.

Bad posture altogether too.

Maybe you just got unlucky and got bad genetic traits from your parents, i wouldnt focus too much on what caused it and just try to get it fixed before its too late.

Other orthognatic devices would likely be elastics on braces, thats what most orthos tend to go for.

Elastics are a bit iffy. They restrict your maxilla but can give you mandible growth. They also dont give you ccw movement, quite the opposite acctualy.

Also dont get any teeth pulled.

Almost nothing does non surgically, it could look like they do, but they're used with braces so it could only be a illusion with bite correction, bite corrections usually pull the jaw more up since there are not teeth sticking further down. There's no evidence of them working at least by themselves, they're only with braces and braces are the thing that positions the jaw correctly
