I have heard that the act of pulling your eyelids down or up or whatever direction to put in and take out your contacts can lead to damage of the thin tissue of the eyelids and sagging leading to scleral show. But that could be bullshit, I have never seen anything to support it.

Not sure. interesting question.
 
always put them in by pulling the upper eyelid upwards while looking down.

I pulled my lower eyelid too hard once with contacts, it seems droopier for like a week
