do you want partner to be intelligent or not? does it matter?

i gave this some thought and i dont even know what to think about it because there are levels to it. if you're completely mogging in intelligence like how tf are you supposed to live with that subhuman intelligence foid the rest of your life. it's not someone i could respect in the first place. am i thinking about it the wrong way? is it dumb to want an intelligent partner? i'm not talking about career/academic wise smart or whatever. if you hang out with someone for a while you will pick up on if they are smart or not.

and if they actually are intelligent maybe theres a lower chance they will actually want to commit to a man because she'd be doing 'futile work' and 'waste her smarts and freedom' or whatnot.

i might turn gay

thoughts?

Bruh tf is this question 😭😭 being a normal person is enough you don’t need a genius in a relationship, js a good looking normal person

Most men choose a slightly less intelligent partner, for fairly obvious reasons, though usually not by a large margin.
The reverse scenario appears extremely rare, at least based on my anecdotes.

For me, it is very important that my partner is neither significantly more intelligent nor significantly less intelligent than I am.
My gf is intelligent, she has a master’s degree in architecture without any extreme effort.

My father mogs my mother IQ-wise by a huge amount.
He studied electrical engineering, went to a elite school beforehand in one of the wealthiest, high-IQ regions in Germany, and had incredible grades.
I have a very high-IQ friend who studies the same subject at the same university, and he doesn’t even come close to my dad.
So, I would assume he exceeds my mum by 25+ points easily, his talent across literally all domains is insane.
At 64, he can multiply 2x2 digit calculations within 2–3 seconds, and he always mentioned how he used to be much faster even.
My twin sister is very similar to him in that regard- best grades in her biology degree.
