To sum extent yes but the way we measure them is bogus

How is calories = science?Durrr guys do you believe in science
NoTo sum extent yes but the way we measure them is bogus

Obviously calories = science you fucking moronHow is calories = science?![]()
Any reasoning?
Holy fuck nigga u have a sub 90 iq intellectObviously calories = science you fucking moron
What a retard
Any reasoning?yes
You’re just a retard
Just look at this fucking retard. I just know you're obese. Loser.Holy fuck nigga u have a sub 90 iq intellect![]()
To sum extent yes but the way we measure them is bogus
Bro watched one FACEIQ videoTo sum extent yes but the way we measure them is bogus
No argument so im gonna insult youJust look at this fucking retard. I just know you're obese. Loser.
nopeBro watched one FACEIQ video
Obviously calories are a thing dudenope![]()
Personally I think the way we measure calories just does not make sense, we blow food up in water and if the water goes up x amount of heat thats how much calorie that food has, tell me how this correlates to the human bodyActually im curious how do you think calories are measured

I don't think your body is gonna decide to store fat or use energy based on numerical digits that humans gave to foodI see no reason not to carb/protein = 4 calorie, fat = 9 calorie
Sorry manNigga im sick and u talm bout calories nigga idgaf
Brain triggers your pancreas to release insulin to decide to spend that energy or save it as fathow else does your body operate nigga ?

bro pray for me its bad wtfSorry man![]()
Can you tell me why I should? If you don't believe in caloric value you are either retarded or a latino woman
Just ignore me lolbro pray for me its bad wtf
send picture of your physique and i'll tell you whyCan you tell me why I should?![]()
Never said they aren’t, but the way we measure them is stupidObviously calories are a thing dude
Pm mesend picture of your physique and i'll tell you why
How come? As in surpluses and calorie deficits?Never said they aren’t, but the way we measure them is stupid![]()
Im not obese but im not skinnyNigga boy u a fat bitch
i remember doing a calorie lab in chem class seems pretty legitTo sum extent yes but the way we measure them is bogus
Bro stop eating wtf and i was tlaking to @niggaboy0321Im not obese but im not skinny![]()
thats not how this works....YOU pm ME.Pm me![]()
same niggas behind the screenBro stop eating wtf and i was tlaking to @niggaboy0321
Ur literally an obese whalesame niggas behind the screen

Peoples main argument for calorie counting is the law of thermodynamics, which makes the way we measure calorie relatively make sense. But the problem is humans don’t run on heat energy, we run on chemical energy called ATP.How come? As in surpluses and calorie deficits?
how? you can't even see me you fucking retardUr literally an obese whale
Laws of thermodynamics don't apply to humansi remember doing a calorie lab in chem class seems pretty legit
Ur pfp is fucking shrek u prolly look like him nigga beasthow? you can't even see me you fucking retard![]()
Okay fine since you want to see me so badlythats not how this works....YOU pm ME.

having a shrek avi=fat? omfg you're an idiot, and I'm done responding to your bullshit postsUr pfp is fucking shrek u prolly look like him nigga beast
Yh fuck off lazy retard go read a fucking bookhaving a shrek avi=fat? omfg you're an idiot, and I'm done responding to your bullshit posts![]()
Dude, calories are simply a unit of energy.Peoples main argument for calorie counting is the law of thermodynamics, which makes the way we measure calorie relatively make sense. But the problem is humans don’t run on heat energy, we run on chemical energy called ATP.
This is why i think calorie is bullshit![]()
Because your body burns/uses the calories in a similar manner for energyPersonally I think the way we measure calories just does not make sense, we blow food up in water and if the water goes up x amount of heat thats how much calorie that food has, tell me how this correlates to the human body
I don't think your body is gonna decide to store fat or use energy based on numerical digits that humans gave to food
Sorry man
Brain triggers your pancreas to release insulin to decide to spend that energy or save it as fat
Yes energy can not be created or destroyed and that ATP is derived from the chemical energy in the food. But my issue is treating caloric values as exact 1 to 1 of usable biological energy. A calorimeter measures the total heat released from blowing up food, but humans don’t blow up the food. Different foods have different digestion costs, absorption rates, and metabolic fates. Protein has a higher thermic effect than fat or carbs, causing a large portion of its caloric value is lost during digestion.Dude, calories are simply a unit of energy.
The chemical potential energy stored within the molecular bonds of food is exactly what a calorimeter measures when converting that food into heat.
Then Through cellular respiration, our metabolism extracts this exact same chemical energy to synthesize those ATP molecules.
Thus, Because the first law of thermodynamics dictates that energy cannot be created or destroyed,
the total caloric energy entering the body inherently limits and dictates the amount of ATP available for biological function.
Saying
“calorie counting is invalid because we use ATP” is like saying you cannot measure the energy content of gasoline in gallons because a car engine runs on internal combustion pistons rather than a liquid.
The unit of measurement remains a precise reflection of the fuel's total payload.
Your argument is running on a false dichotomy
I agree, you’re right about the thermic effect of food and digestive efficiencyYes energy can not be created or destroyed and that ATP is derived from the chemical energy in the food. But my issue is treating caloric values as exact 1 to 1 of usable biological energy. A calorimeter measures the total heat released from blowing up food, but humans don’t blow up the food. Different foods have different digestion costs, absorption rates, and metabolic fates. Protein has a higher thermic effect than fat or carbs, causing a large portion of its caloric value is lost during digestion.
The first law of thermodynamics is true, it does not mean that the food im eating has the same calories as the back of the label. Calories are useful to use as a approximation but they are not a perfect representation of biological energy availability
So when you eat food, ur stomach blows up the food in matter of minutes?Because your body burns/uses the calories in a similar manner for energy
is this ragebaitLaws of thermodynamics don't apply to humans![]()
