i seriously don't understand why men don't grow their hair out to at least a medium length. longer hair is simply more appealing and natural. Are there any excpetions when it comes to having short hair regarding cranial and overall facial bone structure? imo longer hair is a must and is an incredibly easy softmaxx. i see long hair as a great health indicator of youth and it gives illusions of better facial aesthetics by for example casting shadows, widening the zygos or temporals and hiding flaws. what are your thoughts on this?

most of the men dont have the dimo to rock long hair (they end up looking like females) so the only way for them to look what is socially considered masculine is short hair

As the other posters said, I don't think it's as simple as that.

If you have really thick nice hair, it's probably best to be longer, but it just won't look that good if you have natrually 'fine' hair or you're hair quality is shit and/or you are recessed etc.

Some people definitely seem to look better with a skin fade and short (ish) hair on top.

Also, face shape plays a role. Not every guy will look better with long hair.

I'm not sure what the current 'in' style is, really. Obviously used to be the skin fade look. Then it was the brocolli look. Then the flow type style. At the moment it's a mix of them last 2 here in my part of the UK, but I feel it'll go back to more of a shorter top and fade again soon. Especially as the summer approaches. I noticed some love Islanders recently rocking the more classic fade look recently that was very popular 6-7 years back

thanks for the reply
yeah definitely, face shape plays a role. I didn't really explicity mention that in my post, but yes (pretty obvious tho). It won't suit everyone, but i simply think that fades nerf most men. Something as simple as a mod cut would be more aesthetically pleasing. But yeah i agree when your hair quality is ass then long hair is horrible for you

Medium length is the ideal for men, long hair hides your features plus can easily look messy and unclean, you will look good as long as there's no gust of wind

I remember when I had really long then cut it to medium length and everyone started complimenting me in class lmao most said I used to look homeless with longer hair

Longer hair is also like facial hair, having a big beard is disgusting

yes true in nature men should have longer hair, but these fucking goatis glazers genuinely think they are hyperintelligent beings or something. They think they are different and that everything applies to nature and they are acting like we are stone age baboons. and yeah because of war and battles, men always went shorter and shorter, it started with the Canaanite and then it was very popularized in WW1.

i am also thinking about cutting my hair slightly shorter and getting layers. Do you think it's a bit too long rn or should i keep it this way?

classic mod cut - quite a safe bet. Doesn't look too try hard. Can get away with not having amazing hair quality.

You better look like prime Tom Welling to pull of the 'modern mod' cut!

very popular like 6+ years back. I think it'll come back soon. The contrast and sharpness (and masucline of very short sides) is quite timeless and lots of actors seem to always have a variation of this (tom hardy etc).

brocolli - guessing it'll die out soon here. It's became a meme

flow - quite current and if you have thick hair and a handsome face, it's hard to go wrong

the 1a hair and modern mod cut combo is very bad as well as the brocolli hair. the 6+ years one is very nostalgic. :p
