Do you guys think DEI for college admissions are good?

Shouldn’t we try to help people who have put in disadvantageous positions? I agree the most competent person is the most fit person for the job, but this is about giving them that opportunity to get that job, not about straight up handing it to them like candy. They still have to work for it. This is about college, not the job

life is not fair and it never will be, we are all born with different sets of cards and some people have it easier and some have it harder

but that doesn't mean we should lower the bar for someone less fortunate and have someone low iq, uneducated or etc be a doctor who's in control of other people's lives, or a lawyer or a pilot
