i genuinely cant find info on this

everyone says muh bulk cut is outdated

then niggas say muh bulk cut is still method

so idrk

i just wanna be able to gain muscle and strength with looking good

so should i just maintain cuz i feel like i havent gaiened muscle or size

and ive been trying to lose fat and it just isnt goign away and ive been at it for awhile now

Don’t listen to the tiny sbl chuds who say you should grow in a deficit year round but don’t become a fatty either
Aim for 200-500 surplus sustained lean bulks, 500-1000 deficit cuts, watch your macros

Only when on cycle or when you’re very fat/very skinny.

If you’re at a healthy BMI and you’re natty, don’t bulk or cut.

how would this be superior over maingaining?
A small surplus improves training performace, recovery and overall hormonal environment and you will gain lean mass quicker. Just don’t get too fat and ruin hormones and insulin sensitivity

Fat can be lost much quicker than muscle can be built, lean bulk -> aggressive cut is quicker than suboptimal maingaining

so if ive been going to the gym for 3 years have high bf but at a normal weight then what do i do

High bf at normal weight means you’ve been training horribly because you are skinnyfat
Do a slight-moderate deficit and aim for body recomp

If you want and you feel like you’re fat, then you can do a moderate cut (300-500) and see if you are feeling like you wanna keep going

nah i was 150 at a certain point but stil had loads of fat on me so i cut 30 pounds only thing that was different was i was leaner in my arms and veins started popping out more but in my mid section still fat there

BMI is irrelevant tbh body fat percentage would be a useful marker
If you have no abs you’re probably >=15%bf and at your weight this means very little muscle
Assuming 16%bf that is an FFMI of 16
The range for “skinny man” is 17-18 you are incredibly undermuscled if that was the case

Pec deck

weighted dips

Back:
weighted pullups
Cable machine rows

Shoulders:
Dumbbell shoulder press
lateral raises
Rear Delt flies (dont do these much)

Triceps:
Tricep pushdowns
skullcrushers

Biceps:
Regular curls
Preacher curls

Lower (legs):
Leg press
leg extensions
Leg curl
RDLS

Abs:
Cable Crunch

You already are very skinny dude your FFMI is 16, your BMI is only not underweight because you are skinnyfat

I’m not ripped or anything I still wanna gain muscle mass but I’ve been bodybuilding for like 6 months now, 70kg is pretty light tbh I just want like an aesthetic physique and wider frame

Yeah your training is fine
What are your lifts? If you’re decently strong you might just have bad size genetics or a small frame

skull crushers 60 - 65 ez bar

preacher curl 30 - 35 lbs
 
Like not to humblebrag but I’ve been training for just over 10 months and went from 6’2” 145 to 180 natty and I’m leaner than when I started, and I don’t have the biggest frame or best size genetics something is wrong with your hormones, nutrition or training somewhere surely

idk maybe cuz i eat what my mom makes but idk

Have you been training consistently for 3 years?
These numbers are better than your weight suggest but still really low for that time no offense
 
Also how old are you, if you’re a kid and your balls have barely dropped you won’t have the anabolic environment for your best gains yet

thing is for the first like year i was doing 3 - 4 sets to failure ppl

second year i wasn't as consistent but still went alot and was doing ppl 2 sets to failure everyday with a fuckton of excersises

i only really started to implement the u/l and excercises i told u like 8 months - a year ago

Yeah you aren’t gonna make much gains at 13-14 I wouldn’t really count those years, I started at 18 so obviously in a much better hormonal environment to build muscle

You’re at an age now where you’re gonna be able to make much better gains so train and eat well now and you’ll fill out

But yeah for you at your age I’d do a lean bulk for a bit, cut to 12% and do it again

Yeah 200 or so over
Try to get a gram of protein per lb of body mass, maybe more at your weight
