Best greetings to all of you.

I created this thread to ask the members of this internet forum who live in (Western) Europe whether you enjoy it here or if you would like to move away at some point.

Many people, including my parents, came to the West from various countries in the 80s and 90s in search of a better and safer life, so that their children could ideally study, find a well-paid job, and thus build a good life.

Unfortunately, those days are long gone. The rate of mental illness increases every year, primarily depression, panic and anxiety attacks, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The same applies to loneliness and unemployment.

When I talk to friends, acquaintances, or (former) colleagues, almost all of them (it feels like 99 percent) tell me that they no longer see a future in Europe and want to leave as soon as possible (everyone who has the opportunity).

Skilled workers usually move to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, or Norway.

I was born in Eastern Europe, but came to the West as a child, and this is everyday life here:

Most people, especially men, usually spend their weekends drinking alcohol in clubs or pubs and watching football.

In rural areas, the population is largely elderly and retired; there are very few jobs, the rate of loneliness is very high, and the same applies to alcoholism and other drugs.

Small towns, and even most large cities, all look pretty much the same.

Fast-food "restaurants", trash everywhere, extremely high drug trafficking and consumption, betting shops, grocery stores like Aldi, cell phone repair shops, hookah lounges, shops selling vapes and cigarettes, candy stores, vending machines, and dollar stores.

Of course, there's much more, but this is what almost every place looks like these days.

On top of that, since cannabis was legalized, you can smell it everywhere.

You can even see boys and girls here with vapes (tobacco with various flavors, cannabis, synthetic cannabinoids, or other drugs) who look like children.

My own people (Olga, Ludmila, Natasha), *generally speaking*, want a rich man who finances their lifestyle (lip fillers, Botox injections, breast implants, expensive designer clothes, a new iPhone, trips to Dubai, Monaco, etc.).

Of course, there are some who aren't like that, but you get my point.

The "good" thing is that men with melanin-rich skin have an extremely easy time with women from Eastern Europe (e.g., one-night stands).

Eastern European women don't just like them, they absolutely love these men.

Thousands of Russian women fly to Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco (and other countries) every year, not only to enjoy the beautiful weather but also to sleep with the local men there.

Almost every Eastern European woman (mostly from Russia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Belarus, and Poland) I know personally is in a relationship or married to a man of a different background and religion.

I'd really like to know what you think about this.

Thank you very much for reading my message.

God bless you.

First of all, thank you very much for your kind and honest message.

My parents came to Western Europe in the early 1990s, and life back then was truly very safe and pleasant. On top of that, the economy continued to grow. None of that exists anymore.

Young, university-educated people send out more than a hundred applications to various companies and receive either only rejections or no response at all.

Many of them have been unemployed for a year or two. Rents, especially in major cities, are also constantly rising.

I believe every single word you say. Yes, it's well known that women from Eastern Europe absolutely love and adore men with melanin-rich skin.

May I ask you, purely out of interest, why 90 percent of people in North Africa wish they could live in Eastern Europe?

The United States of America is without any doubt the largest, strongest, and greatest nation on this earth, with the most influence on absolutely everything and everyone.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Although it's really none of my business, do you like living in Eastern Europe, or would you move to another country if you had the chance? If so, where?

Yes i like living in EE although there are a lot of thing i wish i could change . If i can i will definitely move but not with the idea of living there permenently . I actually live in Germany for some time .

partly immigration and “wokeness” has ruined western europe.
Crime rates make cities unlivable.
I only see myself having a bright future in deep northern europe.

I appreciate your honesty, thank you.

Germany can be a good country to earn money for a certain period of time, if you find a job there *these days*. With that income, you can buy a nice house in countries like Bulgaria or Romania, help and support your parents, and live very comfortably.

There are many people who work in Germany for a few months or years (e.g., at Amazon, on construction sites, in restaurants, hotels, etc.) and, once they've earned enough money, return to their home countries.

I don't see a future in Western Europe either.

Out of pure interest, could you perhaps tell where in the north you would like to live? If not, that's perfectly fine too.

I am going to try out Iceland, if not there then I would probably go to Sweden and try to be in a more rural area a bit more up north.
The problem with that is that I am aiming for a "career" in finance, in which you obviously need close proximity to a very big city, which are located more in the south of the country and are now sadly crime ridden because of unintelligent expats...
And it comes back to my original problem.
Why are you asking this, are you leaving Europe ? What are your views on this uncontrolled flux of immigration we have had in the past 15 years ?

Thank you very much for your detailed and honest answer.

I asked you that because I'm interested in other people's opinions.

Yes, I think about leaving Europe every single day. I'm only here because of my mother; my father died of alcoholism 21 years ago. I have no siblings, and that's why I feel responsible for my mother. I don't want to leave her here alone.

I'm already in my 30s and have met or worked with people from various cultures, backgrounds, and religions. Immigration is, at least in my opinion, an extremely complex issue that I can't answer in just a few words or sentences.

I would argue that almost everyone with a good education, income, and career opportunities wants to leave (Western) Europe.

Iceland, and Sweden too, aren't bad choices, but wouldn't countries like the United States or Canada be better suited if you're aiming for a career in finance?

I sincerely apologize for my delayed reply.

Yeah I know the US would be better considering my career but I honestly don't think I could take the 100 hour weeks.
Albeit I would enjoy the salary I think I am willing to sacrifice potential monetary gains for happiness and health gains, as one of my goals is to start a family, and I wish to be there for my future children. That's why I want to move up North, I also really enjoy the nature aspect of these countries.
I understand the responsibility you have to take care of your mother but I think you have to take into account your own well-being first before anyone else's.
Are you single, no kids ?
If so then it would be incredibly easy for you to just pack your bags and move, assuming you have a good job that you can continue practicing in America.

from germany, some immigrants r just ruining our country, not every since acutally some migrate themself in society. which is very good since we need more workes in germany cuz of low birth rate etc
I tend to say immigrants are more open for violence etc. some muslims want the sharia etc.
europe kills itself with its immigration policy.

I can understand you and your perspective very well.

I also believe that the work culture in the United States is different from ours in Europe.

Starting your own family is without a doubt the most fulfilling, beautiful, and wonderful thing for any person. I wish you all the best!

As a teenager, I always wanted to move to a big city, but now in my 30s, I've noticed, not only in myself but also in many others, that more and more people want to return to nature (live in the countryside).

Many people hate the United States, often because of the politics, but the landscape, wildlife, mountains, and forests there are simply beautiful and breathtaking.

The same is true, of course, for Canada, the Scandinavian countries, and other places.

Yes, you're absolutely right. But my mother is retired and needs help and support. Nevertheless, I hope to find a way to leave Europe someday.

I am single and have no children. I would rate myself as an absolute "zero out of ten" when it comes to physical appearance. Primarily due to deformities such as an asymmetrical face, very thin bone density, an overbite, and other features that people would consider unattractive.

it’s true that the USA have incredible landscapes, from deserts all the way to snowy mountains.
You just have to be willing to put up with the very low social trust, although it might be better if you go to small towns.
I wouldn’t wait too long to move honestly, else you’ll be stuck in the same place forever because you are “too old” to move so far away.
If you have a well paying job you can always put your mother in those “old people” homes, or hire some caregivers.

I agree with absolutely everything you wrote.

I'm convinced that there's no future for me in (Western) Europe. My job is as a caregiver, either in hospitals or nursing homes for the elderly.

I simply enjoy interacting with people, perhaps because I don't have any siblings and have spent most of my life alone.

Monthly earnings in some Western European countries are usually between 3,000 and 5,000 euros. It always depends on the number of hours worked and whether weekends, nights, and holidays are included.

I hope to save enough money this year to afford a trip to the United States. Once there, I'll personally visit various nursing homes and pray to God that it works out, give my mother a new life in the best country on earth, and spend my remaining money on everything at Whole Foods, Erewhon, and farmers' markets.

Living in the United States and having a well-paid job must truly be paradise. This allows you to afford the best food, clean water, nutritional supplements, and so on, thereby lengthening your telomeres, increasing your lifespan, slowing down the aging process, and optimizing your epigenetics.

All of this improves not only your own life but also the lives of your future children.

What about you, if I may ask? Do you already have concrete plans for when you'd like to go to Iceland or Sweden? When would you like to start your career in finance?

Oh wow you plan on taking your mother with you, that's courageous.
Your salary is pretty good.
Yeah the United States is the best country to be rich in and the worst country to be poor in lol.
On my end my plans are not incredibly clear, I'm only 20 years old, I'll do my 3rd bachelor year in Iceland as an exchange student, get my french diploma and then potentially pursue a Masters in Sweden or somewhere else in northern Europe.
I'd preferably like to start my career as soon as I finish my Master, then I'll study to be a Chartered Financial Analyst, while I work and get some experience in the field.
Further then that I don't really know, I'd love to find a Swedish girl to start a family with as I'm most close to that culture, but you can't control fate, so much is left up to chance.
I guess I "will see".

Ban alcohol in Europe ,I live in Warsaw, everytime someone just reeks the smell of alcohol, shit and piss in public transport.Shit gives me a genuine cortisol spike and a headache

That sounds really great. You have my respect for your achievements, both academically and professionally, and you're also thinking about your future.

I wish you all the best on your journey!

At that age, I spent most of my time on the computer, playing games, eating fast "food", consuming soft drinks, and watching pornographic films.

I'm truly glad that young people today are much more intelligent and educated, and hopefully they'll *never* make the same mistakes I did.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm *not* a good person, and I never will be, but I can't abandon family members or friends who mean something to me.

Being a caregiver is my profession, but about a year ago I wanted to try a different, new job and realized I didn't like it.

We work to earn money, yes, but that alone doesn't lead to happiness, I can say that now in my 30s.

Everything is important, not just money. True friends who help you when you're down, a supportive family, a good/positive work environment, friendly colleagues, fulfilling work, and so on.

At the end of the day, you want to give your life meaning. Having a lot of money, lying on the beach, and doing nothing might be nice for a very short time, but eventually, it gets boring.

That's a silly example, but maybe you understand what I mean.

You're absolutely right. Planning is all well and good, but none of us know how life will turn out. One term for this is: synchronicities.

Yes, the salary is really good for a completely ordinary job as a caregiver or nurse without a university degree, especially when you work weekends, holidays, and nights.

Your chances for a great life are extremely good.

You're still very young and already have such a high level of awareness and probably all the information and knowledge you need about health, nutrition, appearance, and much more.

Women from Scandinavian countries (and Germany) are not only, at least in my opinion, very beautiful, but also have truly wonderful personality traits for a long-term relationship.

I sadly did that but at the ripe age of 15-16... Then I woke up and got my shit together.

Exactly, that's what matters most, not some numbers on a computer screen, I love my family but I also truly wish I could start my own.

I do obviously, but I am terrified of aging honestly.

You should just go for it as soon as possible, take that big step and move, there's probably a lot of opportunities for your type of job in the US, I would not hesitate if I was you.

I think that almost all young people, especially boys, grow up in a very similar way in this modern society. This includes processed "foods", soft drinks, computer games, artificial blue light, prolonged sitting, (excessive) self-pleasure combined with pornographic content, and so on.

But you are someone who understood this at a young age.

Having money makes life easier; to claim otherwise would be a lie. But life is only truly enjoyable and fulfilling when you can share it with the people you love (friends, family, girlfriend/wife, etc.).

You can slow down the aging process, lengthen your telomeres, increase your longevity, and optimize your epigenetics, and it's *never* too late to do so.

Or do you mean that you're afraid of being alone without family in old age?

I will do my best to fulfill my dream. I hope and wish the same for you.

In my eyes, you are an intelligent, educated, friendly, and polite young man.

I have *no doubt* that you will find a woman from Scandinavia and start your own family with her.

I believe in you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, means a lot to me even if you’re just a stranger on the internet.

maybe that’s what i’m truly afraid of, and i’m hiding it behind the “i don’t want to be a useless old fart” veil.

And yes it’s true that we all get absorbed by that negative spiral if we don’t have super protective parents or if we are good looking, the important thing is to get out of it, but some never even realize that they are stuck in that vicious circle.

You're very welcome!

I would like to apologize again for my delayed response. I don't visit this internet forum every day and I don't always have the right words to write a proper message. I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to keep you waiting.

You're absolutely right. We all want to lead meaningful lives and thus be useful to society.

Life itself (just my personal opinion) has no built-in meaning. Everyone decides for themselves what meaning they give to their own life.

We are here to have the experience as human beings.

That's why it's so important to have goals and know why you get up every day.

Older people of retirement age very often become depressed because, as you mentioned, they feel useless and think society no longer needs or wants them.

Added to this are various illnesses, loneliness (lack of community), and the fact that they usually have little or nothing to do because they lack a job or activity.

You may have heard of the "blue zones" around the world, where people live long lives, often over 100 years.

The secret isn't just food, water, and physical activity, but also social interaction with other people (a community). They have tasks and missions to complete every day. Each of these contributes to a fulfilled and happy life.

We want to be of service to others. That makes us happy. Helping others, being there for them, etc.

A YouTuber named "Sky Life" visited some of these people a few years ago. If you're interested, feel free to watch this video (if not, that's perfectly fine too):

Having a lot of money is certainly a great feeling and gives a sense of security, but without true friendships, a family, wife, children and goals, a person will not be happy in the long run.

No matter what happens to us in life, we should never give up. All of this is easier said than done, but giving up will never be the solution.

I found some quotes on the internet that really explain life itself well:

  • Your purpose in the Game, is to work upon yourself. To grow, develop, and transform yourself into a more positive and loving being. You had certain goals that you planned to achieve before incarnating here, which is a main reason for the veil of forgetfulness being in place, because if you already knew what your goals were, the Game would be too easy.

  • Let's be clear about one thing though. All of this (physical life / incarnation), is a very intricate and skillfully designed Game, whereby the One Infinite Creator, plays the game of forgetting who It is, so that It can learn to remember, and in doing so, experience and know Itself as Creator. All the way down to us tiny individuated sparks of the All That Is.

  • Your Soul remembers everything you've ever experienced. The only reason you don't remember it all now, is due to what we term the "veil of forgetfulness". If you came into each new incarnation with access to your Soul memory, there's no point in your coming into space/time. It would be like playing a computer game with all the cheats. You wouldn't learn anything, and it takes the fun out of playing the game. Remember that this current physical body you carry around with you, is not who you are. It's just the vessel for your essence. Who you are, is Real, and cannot be destroyed. You will retain all your memories of this life experience once you pass onto the realm of time/space, or that which some call "Heaven".

It's okay you take as long as you want to respond I don't care.

I actually think the most important part of it is community, a family, and a purpose that goes beyond ones own personal interests.
I mean that's what you said, I think we align very well on a lot of things and I can't help but agree with everything you write, despite our age difference.

I want to honestly thank you for your time and responses, it is a breath of fresh air in this forum overrun by social media addicted children.
