Doctor recommending me tonsilectomy instead of bimax for my sleep apnea

I recently faked my sleep study and got diagnosed with sleep apnea. I was scheduled an appointment for imaging and inspection but the doctor said most likely I would get tonsilectomy because of my large tonsils. However, I'm slightly recessed and a bimax would ascend me a lot. Is there any recommendations for what I could say or larp to my doctor to get him to change his mind.
