Yeh i'm currently negotiating with my former dental clinic, if they don't give me surgery for free i can sue them for malpractice/neglect because they didn't tell me about my overbite and they didn't do anything to fix it in my youth. I have suffered great emotional pain from bullying, rejection and over 2 decades of valentines days spent alone because of their neglect.

how much do you think? I had 4mm and lips didn't change

good chance it'll make a difference then since you're likely using your mentalis muscle to force lip occlusion if your chin is really that recessed

if your lips look weird now it'll probably look better after

Atm it feels like my lower lip kinda "bulges outward" to be in a better position but I fear that after it gets stablized by an underlying chin it will look recessed
