it states that "Interestingly, tear stability recovered to pretreatment levels 1 month after discontinuing the medication in both studies."

u can take accutane. i know like 10 kids that have taken it for their whole youth, never had these issues even though they are labeled as common lol

but it does say to be cautious (its kinda bs anyways because there isnt even that much info on longer term use)

"Most studies have found that clinical signs related to ocular surface integrity return to normal within 1 to 2 months of discontinuing isotretinoin. However, there are several reports of keratoconjunctivitis sicca that persists for several years after isotretinoin therapy."

"The extent to which isotretinoin’s effects on meibomian gland structure and function persist after discontinuation of therapy is unclear."

"Until additional studies are performed on human subjects, it is unknown if damage to the meibomian glands persists and in some cases may be permanent."

I've never personally been on it since my acne wasnt deathly so i js coped along my youth but from my peers perspectives they never spoke about anything harmful it was doing to their body i remember asking one of them too asw.
