Does taking accutane during puberty make me unable to reach my max height? or will I grow more after I stop my course

Reactions: Aromasin
it could if you take insane dosages which would never be prescribed by a docotor. You will not experience premature growth plate closure on normal dosages

Isotret cycles are based on cumulative dosage so 20mg 3 months = 10mg 6 months and so on. The dosage is irrelevant because prolonged exposure still = longer time at lower IGF. The suppression of IGF is just more acutely measurable at absurd dosages. Has no role in premature closure tho obviously. At the end of the day, the difference in height would likely be negligible. Studies typically state roughly a 20% decrease in IGF

Your outcomes are likely going to be the same. Not worth stressing about it. If you're really trying to grow, what's going to matter is exogenous hormones rather than worrying about this small reduction.

I only personally don't like accutane because of how severely it impacts blood work (i've been using on and off for years). It's honestly more damaging than a lot of AAS and sarms to liver and lipids. Side effects can be pretty brutal too. Regardless, for people with unfixable skin it's a viable option

true it cooks your liver and I would assume that it then cooks your bodys ability to produce igf1 and other homrmones, lower dose would decrease the burden on the liver but taking stuff like nac tudca and milk thistle etc would help your liver perform better:Comfy:
