does cumulative dose for accutane matter? high iq dermas gtfih

so i recently was prescribed 16mg accutane once ed (im not on it yet, will be in a couple days since i have to do bloodwork first)

and after some calculations based on the fact that ur cumulative should be 120-150mg per kg,
then my cumulative (i weigh 72kg) should be 8640-10800mg at the end of the cycle

BUT with 16mg once ed, that will take a minimum of 18 months to achieve, which is very long.
i know im not smarter than a derma (or might be), but does it really matter after i hop off accutane? im afraid i will still continue to break out after since i dont hit my cumulative dose total.

(the doctor also mentioned ill be running 16mg throughout the whole cycle and then taper off in the last month or so)

im not concerned about that right now

i wanna hit my cumulative dose so that when i hop off accutane after my cycle, i hit the cumulative dose and clear my acne so that my relapse rates are low and i wont have to hop on it again for a second cycle.

its another decision if i decide to microdose it later.

16mg IS a microdose, this is something you could theoretically take forever

Yes absolutely. Isotretinoin relapse rates are dose dependent. Any cumulative dose lower than 120 mg/kg means higher relapse risk.

20mg is ok since its adverse effects are lower than with 40

im not worried about sides really, i just want my acne gone.
and i can't just up the dose, its for my derma to decide
then again i might just secretly drink 32 mg (16 in day 16 in night) to make it to my dose jfl

You're welcome. You can actually stay on 20mg, no need to titrate up if acne is controlled

Look, accutane is best whenever it's rushed, the more you take the faster it lasts and the more it lasts, taking 60mg-80mg is better than taking 20mg.

Relapse happens whenever your dose is too low, try hitting that 150mg/kg mark, it's better and accutane is dirt cheap.

The only sides are dry lips thats it, you get the same sides while being on 20mg.

Aquaphor or vaseline is needed at all times, sunscreen too so u you don't burn your skin, the skin barrier is more sensible.

To avoid being dry on the skin you take 2400 mg of fish oil or omega d3 and 4000ius of vitamin d3.

If you take 60mg for 180 days you're set, most definitely a permanent fix and 0 way you relapse anyways

and ill prolly look like a pepperoniz pizza mid cycle but i dont give a fuck.
im trying not to hit a relapse so i might secretly jsut take 16mg at day and 16mg at night without my derma or mom knowing.
or i might just continue the cycle later with my own accutane that i can buy from indiamart.

Im on 60mg to never have acne, I would always get like a pimple or 2 after eating a whole bunch of slop so I just got on accutane.

Trust me when I tell you that more is better.
It's more efficient and takes less time, you'll have little to no pimples while on 60 mg, on 16mg it's so low especially since you're 72kg.
