Does fasting and intermittent fasting burn more good facial fat(aka your fat pads) than regular dieting?

“Somewhere in between the 10- and 30-hour time point, the oxidation of intramuscular fat increases greatly, but no increase is seen in subcutaneous fat.”

It would make sense that your fat pads in your face are pretty much closely related to intramuscular fat

You want to burn subq fat to look good. You don’t want to burn intramuscular fat

Also this is coming from someone who’s been intermittent fasting for like 3-4 years so I’m not biased. I’ve also lost some fat pads during that time. Could just be from being lean or could be from IF/fasting

Lol ur retarded

IF burns more intramuscular fat than subq fat. Atleast during your fast

Calories in calories out is still playing out it. But you’re losing more intramuscular fat more than subq

Another quote from the article/study:

“Subcutaneous fat is still oxidised, but at a slower rate compared to intramuscular.“

I put on weight at the start of this year and I'm doing rolling 48 hour fasts to burn it off, I don't care if I look like a skeleton

You will when you lose your fat pads

Good for insulin resistance and insulin resistance leads to more subcutaneous fat buildup

Fasting is better because GH spiked to preserve muscle and burn fat better, studies on fasted patients who took stuff to suppress GH found they lost way more muscle

Again you’re retarded

Obviously In the end you’ll lose every kind of fat going to 0% body fat

The goal is to lose more subq fat than intra muscular fat my guy. To look good not only facially but also body wise, you want subq fat gone, not intra muscular.

You want to be 13% body fat with lots of intra muscular fat and very little subq

The GH shit is cope and beyond bs lol

Again would rather have facial fat pads

Also losing Intra muscular fat isn’t just about losing facial fat pads. The physque looks like shiet and way smaller without intramuscular fat.

Yes you ape that’s the ideal but everyone’s genetics dictates what they lose first and in which area
You cannot target fat loss anywhere besides just lowering your weight

“LPL activity in postheparin plasma remained unchanged after 10 and 20 h of fasting, but was increased by 50% after 30 h (P < 0·05). Ten hours of fasting caused a 25% (P < 0·05) decrease in LPL activity in subcutaneous adipose tissue, while LPL activity in skeletal muscle remained unchanged. After 30 h of fasting, both LPL activity and mass had decreased by approximately 50% (P < 0·05) in adipose tissue, but had increased by approximately 100% (P < 0·05) in muscle.”

Bump

Looking at pics before I intermittent fasted it seems I had way more intra muscular fat and less subq

Could see more separations between the muscles, and more plump face, and looked bigger/wider in general

Also had a bigger waist giving the illusion of smaller hips, yet abs were still lean

Had bigger delts too. Now after IF my delts are slightly smaller and now have a vein on it. Signs of intramuscular fat loss. I think I might even have a the same or bit more subq

IF, low carbs, high protein, good sleep, a lot of water, high fats, calorie deficiet.

Dont make it too complicated.

Lmao at low carbs

Worse advice ever unless you’re literally above 25%+ body fat

You’ll end up looking like Paul salidino with the most gaunt face ever

look at all the keto-ers all look liek shit and old.

Thats why I said high fats.

You do realize that eating a lot of carbs will spike your insuline off the roof and thats not really good for your body overall.

Keto is good for longevity.

Also you are generalize a lot.

That shit dont matter unless you’re above 20-25% body fat

If you’re bellow that keto is literally a deteriment

I carb cycle btw so I’m not pro carb. But full on keto bellow 20% body fat will make you like like sheit.
