Does gap teeth = wide maxilla?

I heard this before here, I’m not knowledgeable on the maxilla even tho I’m a 1.5k postscel. Help would be appreciated

If the upper jaw is widened artificially, then yes, teeth gap is almost always an occurrence unless the process is spanned over a few years which is usually impractical.

If the teeth gap is naturally present, it's not necessarily due to a wide upper jaw, not an indication of a wide upper jaw either.

How do I really measure my maxilla
Bite into an apple and then measure your intermolar distance with a ruler.
 
Like should I bite as wide as I can?
wdym you just want all your teeth to be in contact with the apple,
How wide you bite doesn’t make a difference in the width of your maxilla lol,
Just ensure all teeth make a mark on the apple.
