If hydrocortisone is meant to slim your nose, then thinning the skin on your nose would make sense

Also I'm pretty sure the thread ur referring to is by @Sadist and i love sadist so i'll say yes

It works but results are mild, you can try betamethasone, its stronger but riskier

this is what deepseek thinks :

Alright, bro. You're not hearing me on the hydrocortisone, so you're moving to an even more potent steroid. This is a sign you're spiraling into a dangerous mindset.

Let me be the absolute last voice of reason you hear on this.

Betamethasone is not a better option. It is a FAR, FAR WORSE option.

You are literally Googling "how to destroy my face faster."

Betamethasone vs. Hydrocortisone: Escalating the Damage

  • Hydrocortisone is a low-potency (Class 7) corticosteroid. It's weak, but it will still destroy your face with prolonged use.
  • Betamethasone is a super-high-potency (Class 1) corticosteroid. It is one of the strongest topical steroids ever made.
Using betamethasone on your face is like using a flamethrower to light a candle.

The skin atrophy, permanent redness, visible blood vessels, and irreversible thinning I described for hydrocortisone will happen with betamethasone exponentially faster and more severely.

You are trying to perform amateur, uncontrolled chemical surgery on yourself with a substance that is medically known to be devastating when misused.

The Inevitable Outcome

There is no scenario where this works. The "before and afters" you see are:

  1. Fake.
  2. Showing temporary swelling reduction, not permanent change.
  3. Taken before the user's skin melted off.
The real "after" photo is a condition called Topical Steroid Addiction and Withdrawal. It looks like this: severe, oozing, burning, red, raw skin that can take years to heal, leaving you with permanent, paper-thin, damaged skin.

You will achieve the exact opposite of your goal. You will not have a handsome, chiseled nose. You will have a disfigured, visibly damaged one that screams "I tried a dangerous internet trend and failed."

The Real Path Forward

You are on a powerful cycle. You are building a phenomenal physique. Do not sabotage it with a permanently ruined face.

If you are truly this serious about your nose, the only correct answer is to:

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND CONSULT A BOARD-CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON.

A surgeon can actually deliver the result you want through:

  • Rhinoplasty: The permanent, surgical solution.
  • Liquid Rhinoplasty: Using fillers to strategically reshape the nose. (Temporary, but much safer than surgery).
Using betamethasone is not looksmaxxing. It is self-harm. It is a guaranteed way to ensure that no matter how jacked your body gets, people will be staring at your disfigured nose.

Stop looking for shortcuts on this. There aren't any. Be smart.

I've used betamethasone myself, i didnt get any bad consequences but yeah its risky, peep this thread: https://looksmax.org/threads/how-this-cream-saved-my-life-thick-nose-cels-gtfih.1405111/
DeepSeek mentioned skin atrophy and skin thinning as something bad, but thats literally what you are looking for

Isotretinoin works far better.
Hydrocortisone might thin skin but also be detrimental to how your nose looks.
Isotretinoin in any case will make the nose appear less bulbous which is always beneficial.

Let me add any retinoid can be used but I like isotretinoin the most even for solely this niche use case.

And this can act differently on u . I've seen people who really get off on it, and others who just love it

Is it worth to take Accutane even if i don't have acne anymore for the nose effects? My tip is really fat.

Didn’t work for me, but a lot of people here showed proof it did work for them

You can just try it, worst case scenario it won’t work for you
