Does it matter if i wear my 3 inch shoe lifts while lifting?

Does it matter? It depends whether you want to or not ruin your joints. High intensity activity movements with lifts could definitely screw up your joints.

i wear elevators in the gym all the time. if you're doing upper body its fine, if lower just take them off when you squat/dead and sit down while recovering.

that's such a bad idea why do you even care how tall or short you appear in the gym

Basketball shoes pretty much all have 1-2 inch lifts built into the heel and NBA players are running across the court and doing of cardio while wearing them. Shouldn't be too much of an issue unless we're talking 2+ inch lifts.
