Only kids and old ladies say I look good. Do 18-24 year old females have different standards?

Kids and old women are more direct because there's an age gap they consciously or subconsciously know that you're not a 'suitable partner' for them. It's inherently a friendly compliment, but if a girl(who isn't a close friend or relative) says that you look good/handsome/cute, they'll know it's going to be seen as an obvious IOI. They only do this with males they're really attracted to like Chads. But with kids and old ladies, you could be an HTN and rain in compliments because of this

I disagree, kids are not aware about how illegal and wrong is a relationship with someone far past puberty. If they give you compliments it mostly likely because they truly admire you or like you though her standards could be lower since they dont see older boys on a daily basis.
