Does looksmaxxing even matter if you refuse to socialize?

I've probably been looks maxxing for a couple years now even before joining the forum. I Lost weight, got a palatal expander, got braces, fixed my hair, and overall started focusing on my looks more. When I was fat and ugly I used to be a lot more sociable and several girls had crushes on me but I didn't realize cus I thought i was too ugly. Now I get told im intimidating and i don't typically socialize in school, only really talking when spoke to which is rare. I also have a suspicion I am autistic as my mom is, and nearly everyone of my cousins are, and i exhibit a large amount of autistic traits even though ive never been diagnosed professionally. Anyway do you guys have any Idea what could cause this? Even if you ascend do you have to initiate conversation to be noticed?
