Does minoxidil help hair growht? Does It have side defects?

My hair loss Is not that bad, mainly due to malnutrition, being obese aka bad hormones and stress and self ripping(due to stress).

So i want to regrow it somewhat.

If It dosent work what would ?
If all fails ill be willing to do hair transplant anyways but i would like to try fixing It now.

i haven't had any sides on minox, best protocol for now is: minox 5% topical before sleeping, with duta 0.5mg and fina 1mg

Against from what i see Its not realy due to generico hair Loss mainly due to the reason listen, thats why im asking to re-grow it
