Does MSE/SARPE/Bimax/Jaw implant widen the mouth?

Let's say someone is recessed with a narrow maxilla/jaw. Would widening/advancing the jaws stretch the lips out over time to be wider?

For me, MSE not so much. Bimax did though, must be the same reason why projecting any object closer to an eye makes it appear larger 3-dimensionally

bimax should also stretch the soft tissue and thus make mouth wider I guess
