I've heard many people saying orbital decompression has high botch rates and incredibly risky. Where is the evidence and /or proof behind these claims? I've honestly researched and found that the loss of vision is absolutely rare to get.

Orbital decompression with an experienced surgeon has little risk of making you blind but the real risk of this surgery is in the aesthetic consequences where you have a high chance of ending up with a temporary strabismus which can be permanent and which may require a surgeon to correct it also in my opinion the most problematic in this surgery is that it causes a drop in the IPD (the drop is not systematic and a study comparing 3 methods showed that lateral wall decompression can even increase the IPD slightly) I advise you to do your research this surgery is not to be taken lightly and do not go to Taban I have seen a lot of bad reviews about him which seem to be true the fact that he did a double wall decompression on Frank Tuffano is crazy to me he literally ruined his life

What do you think about it @RealSurgerymax ?
Complication rate is high. Complications are not botches.
Unless you have an actual eye disease its better to get peri orbital implants - bringing the bones around the eye forward instead of setting an eye back into the skull (usually)

What are the unusual cases where it’s better to do orbital decompression?

So what is the correct way to fix bulging eyes + UEE?

What would you say is the best way to fix bulging eyes and UEE?

Bugging eyes are rare, most of the time they aren't buggy but lack bones.
If the patient actually has the Graves Disease then it's better to go OD.

Okay if u really wanna know if u need orbital décompression Go get some exophtalmie mesure by a spécialiste ( ideally Go get a scan ) if ur eyes protusion is around 12-14m u for sure dont need orbital décompression and u should Go for implant if u are above 16 mm i would say it can ascend u hard
@RealSurgerymax am i wrong ?

Anything around the eyes has a high botched rate, it's the most delicate part of your face and any fuck up will be extremely noticeable or make you blind

@Marelago is an expert on this topic
