Does overjet / philtrum cause lips to protrude?

I have an overjet, and protruding lips. Is it the cause, or is it just over.

Overbite causes lip protrusion. Overjet causes lip position (upper lip too far forward relative to lower lip).

Sorry I'm stupid, wdym by lip position? If the lip is positioned too forward isn't it just protruded?

No. It just fucks up the look of your upper lip.
