Just something I’ve been wondering about, I haven’t heard much talk on stretching and its effect on aging, and the few bits I can remember is that stretching is beneficial to attenuate the decreased flexibility with age.

I’ve been wondering if the act of stretching a muscle and tendon would age it by causing damage, comparably to how stretching your skin causes damage to the elastin and skin aging.

no contractile exercise generates new mitochondria which is anti aging

Wouldn't stretching/warming up do the exact opposite of damaging muscle/bone
