Recently I started taking lycopene to improve appearance of my pale skin, that is for red undertones

But I also put topical vitamin C on my skin every day which does lighten the skin a little bit

Would this reduce red undertones?

From what I searched up obline, it seems it will actually improve lycopene effect, research was done when both were consumed orally but I think topical would also work (although to a lesser degree)

Since vitamin c inhibits melanin it gives a "lighter" skin, but so does lycopene too, therefore melanin inhibition has no effect on red undertones since they come from lycopene itself

Seems I just didn't give it enough time to work
pretty sure topical vit c aint really do shit 1st place

Yeah, topical vitamin C can lighten the skin and may reduce red undertones, which could counteract the effects of lycopene on enhancing redness, but that shouldn’t even be noticeable. Vit c is cope so the lightening effect is too little to be fucking noticed. (Mark me as solution:Comfy:)

That hasn't been my experience, it takes time but I noticed the results

More collagen, better skin texture, less acne, less visible darkspots; just some that I noticed

Hmmm maybe I just didn't give enough time for lycopene to work

I've been taking 40mg every day with fatty food for almost a month, but I heard others say it takes more than 2 months for results to show

And I don't wanna stop vitamin C cuz my skin looks worse without it

Hey, how it's going? I have consumed lycopene in not big doses because I don't want to finish the bottle early... but I haven't seen any results at the moment.
Since you have consumed more mgs and earlier than me, I would like to know if you have noticed any results after all this time.
If you have seen some results, perhaps I will switch to eating boiled tomatoes. Thanks in advance

Yeah, I noticed results after about 2 months

My face, especially cheeks got nice rose colored tone, and even though there's no sun here, I no longer look pale

Sorry to bump this thread. Hard to find people who use Lycopene without Beta Carotene.

So it gave you a more red tone in the face/cheeks? Or a more tanned colour? Come claim lycopene made them orange not red JFL.

Yeah it's true, most of them use beta carotene as well, i didn't because it gives your skin the orange color

It gave me more rose color rather than red, it's not a tan in a sense that you look darker, but you won't longer look pale

Cheeks were definitely more noticeable than the rest, but the effect is on entire body

They were probably using a mixture for tanning, which includes lycopene but beta carotene too, there are some supplements like that

I only used lycopene

Was it something similar to the results shown in this thread?

Also what’s your dosage?

Yeah, I actually bought it because of that thread jfl

Color of course depends on the dosage, first time I used 45 mg and the effect was very visible

Second time I only used 25 mg, but it wasn't very visible, I used lesser because it was cheaper

Now waiting to order 45 mg again but their website is down, probably due to tariffs
