yeah but im just asking would taking 10k steps daily be less useful for growing leg muscle than doing like 20 weighted squats at gym once per week :lul::lul::lul:
 
You don’t get enough mechanical tension for your muscle to get a good stimulus by things like walking just Train your legs in the gym or smth

Squats, leg press, leg extentions, leg curls, adductor & abductor machine + hip thrusts. Additionally calve raises and tibialis raises for elite legs.

Not just the cake, it's the whole bakery that matters.

No. To grow muscle you need to reach a certain level of stimulus, that means you should use something with high resistance (ahem.. weights) to approach muscular failure and it should not take many reps. Walking to failure would literally take a million years and would be catabolic actually

but i hardly walk, jfl, my mom had a leg injury and she didnt walk on one leg for some time and the muscle got smaller, and now here legs are unproportionate. im ngl gang i either work out at home or go gym which is like 1.5k steps back and foward. Im not tryna have massive legs thats not a priority im just wondering if i start doing like 10k steps a day in theory would my legs get a bit bigger

Calves are highly genetic. You either have it or you don't. Spamming calf raises is pointless. Also this is overtraining you don't do these many in a single day.

Bro i literally hit leg extensions and hamstring curls and one set of calf raises and call it a day. 5 sets for legs im done. My butt is already too big so no need for glutes

The lunges seem redundant


A truly optimal leg day would be
Leg extension first
Squat (hack, barbell, pendulum, whatever)
Then seated hamstring curls

And if you hit calves and shit hit calf raises, hip thrusts if you need more glute

But im not doin allat on my full body split and my legs are decent enough already

I personally like to do squats first with fresh pair of legs since squats is that one excercise that makes me nervous. Then I continue with the rest. I don't push myself too much on leg day either.

Try leg extensions first before you squat

The reason is because they are the best overall quad exercise by a mile, and by hitting squats AFTER you can squat less overall weight to reach the stimulus required meaning less fatigue

Obv you can every muscle has a function and if you do that function with enough weight to create a Great stimulus that muscle will grow

You can but it’s one of the harder ones to grow. Calves and forearms seem to grow less than every other major muscle, it seems they are the most genetic dependent from what I’ve seen

No bro, when I'm hitting legs I don't train the calves or tibialis. When I focus on upperbody, then I include the calves and tibialis on seperate upper body days.

saying that calves are highly genetic and spamming calve raises is useless is just stupid af. You wouldn't say the same shit about bicep curls right? You can train every fucking muscle in your body they are supposed to grow. Same goes for neck and forearms and ofc tibialis in that case.

Also lol if you think that doing so many exercises means overtraining. This is the main point where I've noticed how much of a normie you are when it comes to bodybuilding.

No, the leg muscles you have now are the muscles that are used to carrying your bodyweight, if you stopped using your legs those muscles would become underdeveloped, walking doesnt build anything it just maintains it

why not just take 30 mins and do leg exercises 2 times a week i think time is more important
