Does wearing a chin-cap prevent forward growth?

I have a crossbite and my orthodontist said that my jaw can shoot forward at anytime making it look like i have an underbite, been wearing it for over 5/6 months so idk if i should still wear it

Yes it can inhibit forward growth of the mandible ask him for something else if your really worried about it
