Does wearing braces change jawshape?

If I would get braces would it give me a more prominent jaw, or would it be insignificant?

I think your genetic jaw shape comes after wearing them. For me i just happen to have a slightly recessed maxilla so not much of a change.

they ruin forward growth so I'd say they have potential to ruin jaw but some people still have decent jaws even with them
if your teeth aren't that bad imo wait until 18 before using braces
