does what you eat effect body composition (or only protein and calories matter?)

Not really eating a lot of carbs and sugar will bloat ur face and give u acne

Even if at a deficit
 
Don't forget that food is source of microelements also, not only macros
So definitely it affects your body composition at least a bit
