Yes it does. In laymans terms (didnt double check) For the arm the typical bicep flex, which highlights the bicep of the arm shows a 1+ inch difference in circumference compared to it flexed at your side. Reason being when you flex the elbow to a 90 degree angle you are contracting the bicep and shortening it horizontally which in turn increases it verticle height. When your arm is straight out you are stretching the bicep. Also when muscles contracts there is tension on the tendons which increases the fiber size of the muscles slightly. The fibers expand when tensed. There is a vibration when muscles flex. Check it out. There is a lot of technical action that takes place when the muscles are at "work". The triceps makes up the bulk of the arm, however, when the arm is flexed at an acute angle by the elbow, the arm the triceps lengthens.dumb question i know
