Dogs are seen as more manly and cats more feminine, you might get away with a cat if you're very rugged and masculine, but otherwise if you're kinda average, a cat can make you look effeminate.

I grew up with dogs and my sister has a dog too but cats are superior, i think its statistically proven aswell that you can build more meaningful relationships with cats in comparison to dogs
