There's still many sects of Judaism that don't even accept converts or those without Jewish mothers.

nah if ur dad is fully Jewish then that makes u at least 50% jewish so most will consider you a jew despite the technical religious rule about it having to be thru ur mother cuz most jews view it as a national ethnic identity rather than a religious one anyways

Jewish law (Halacha) only recognizes Jewish identity through the maternal line. So unless your mother is Jewish, you're not considered Jewish according to religious standards.

Maybe liberal or Reform circles, might accept them sure but not in Orthodox or traditional Jews which make up a large percentage of Israel.

It's true, In Israel people go through conversion even if their father if Jewish just because the mother is not. The state doesn't officially recognize them as jewish until they convert. But most of the population are secular and don't care about it anyways.

Don't confuse between seculars/non-religious traditional jews and reformists because they are NOT the same.
