In a previous thread, I talked about mucuna pruriens, green tea catechins and quercetin: https://looksmax.org/threads/dopami...green-tea-extract-quercetin-phytosome.413133/

This one is about fava beans and green beans. Fava beans improve symptoms in many people with Parkinson's disease. Some people were able to replace their drugs completely with them. Both fava and green beans contain dopamine precursor levodopa naturally and fava beans also have carbidopa, a DOPA decarboxylase inhibitor used to prevent peripheral conversion of L-DOPA to dopamine to reduce side effects of levodopa treatment while increasing its efficacy. Fava beans = OTC sinemet. No prescription required. You're welcome

Side note: avoid fava beans if you have G6PD deficiency

To much dopamine hyperpigmentation and your turn into a nigga which happens

wait so whats the point? ur trying to fix ur receptors so ur more sensitive to dopaminous activities again? or what?

A golden tan would be a nice side effect, don't you think?

I'm not trying to fix anything, just giving out free information but ungrateful autists here don't appreciate my efforts

yeah but u didnt answer my question, what is the purpose of it?

I explained everything in my original post. What don't you understand?
can you explain it all in laymans terms? what is the goal of this?

Just Peat bro

Your body makes dopamine as follows: Phenylalanine (phenylalanine hydroxylase) -> tyrosine (tyrosine hydroxylase) -> L-DOPA (aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase) -> dopamine. See my other thread linked in the OP, which also emphasizes the importance of peripheral decarboxylase inhibition. Fava beans, especially the young pods and immature green beans, contain L-DOPA in considerable amounts. I ate almost an entire (big) jar of fava beans today. Hard to say how much L-DOPA that was due to natural fluctuations but if the scientific literature I've seen can be trusted, probably the equivalent of an effective dose of prescription levodopa

Like literally? I've warned you, haven't I?
Can't study at all without stims, amphetamines are damaging to the brain so i want to cope with concerta but it fills me with anxiety, makes me numb, and everything is boring, cant even play a video game because i feel numb to it. Its literally a drug made to be a zombie and study the whole day, not talk to anyone. When i did amphetamines they at least were very good for studying but also made me happy on them, but i payed the price after when i got anhedonia from them. I feel lost tbh

Long term DRI use can increase dopamine transporter availability, which may explain why you felt worse when you came off amphetamines: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0063023

What are your main ADHD-related problems? You're better off trying an AChE inhibitor like huperzine A as mentioned earlier than using stims that downregulate your dopaminergic system even further in the long term. A few trials suggest that galantamine and donepezil (both AChEIs) may be effective for ADHD https://psychnews.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/pn.38.22.0025
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11052411/

In a pilot study, they observed a significant reduction in ADHD symptoms with memantine, a non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30663824
Huperzine A also acts as a non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist. Perhaps you want to give it a try (preferably under a doctor's supervision) https://boingboing.net/2021/08/20/i-use-huperzine-a-to-treat-my-adhd.html

You think i could use amphetamines if i also use bromantane and 9mebc to up regulate on tolerance break days? What is your opinion on this long term?

If I were in your shoes, I'd try not to rely on any prescription meds - let alone research chemicals like 9-Me-BC jfl - but that's probably just me and my general attitude towards conventional symptomatic therapy of chronic conditions. Try huperzine, mental rest https://looksmax.org/threads/why-do...ntal-overstimulation-sensory-overload.362505/, exercise, regular sun exposure (may be difficult in winter), spending more time in nature and better diet and sleeping habits. I'm fairly sure you will feel better doing this. Maybe @Seth Walsh can chime in if you doubt me

Btw memantine is terrible for memory retention when you learn something, its good for fixing adhd but not so much for when you need that adhd fixed for studying

It improved memory problems according to the study. I just brought it up as an example because huperzine A acts both as a potent AChEI and NMDA receptor antagonist. More acetylcholine in the synaptic cleft of cholinergic neurons = improved focus and memory. There's a reason AChEIs are the first line treatment for cognitive disorders like Alzheimer's and unlike amphetamines/DRIs, it won't mess with your dopamine system
