So I have maxillary recession and a forward mandible, due to the maxillary recession, my mandible looks less defined, but the bone is well developed, I had a lateral ceph done for it, this analysis is from that. I'm going to do double jaw surgery once I turn 18 in 4 months, I'm 17 now, I had aligners before this due to my teeth flaring, compensation for the recessed maxilla and I used to have a slightly recessed mandible too, the aligners broke for a while, and I had retainers for a slightly worse position due to it relapsing. Tell me what I should know about this surgery and how do I get it, who do I go to? And do I have to wear braces again to do it. Im in a place where I can get double jaw surgery for anywhere between 3k - 5.5k USD, so I don't want to waste this money, it's a lot of money to me, my dad's honestly seen me super depressed talking about the recessed maxilla so many times that he agrees to get me a surgery after an orthodontist told me I should.

Talk to a surgeon about your concerns, cmon now. How are we possibly supposed to know if you need to get braces again? Each case is unique.

Also, how are you able to get jaw surgery for 3k-5k? Are you going to get operated on your neighbours basement or what?

I do, I think I do, idk I act fine, the last year's been kinda fucked up man, i hate how i look even though people do say I look good, I have to get that djs or lefort, I have a very noticeable recessed maxilla, and i hate looking at it, i hate looking at myself in the mirror, i hate when people take pictures of me, I can finally rest easy if I get this

I'm getting the surgery in Chennai, it's in India and the max is around 8500 usd for djs here, but usually it's around 3-5k
