Based on toxicological data, none of the substances listed are typically poisonous in very small, trace amounts such as those found in consumer products, cosmetics, or personal care items. However, some can be toxic or cause significant health issues if ingested or inhaled in high doses.

Studies and clinical guidelines suggest the following ranges for low-dose oral minoxidil when used for hair loss:

Patient GroupTypical Daily Dose Range
Adult Females0.25 mg to 1.25 mg
Adult Males1.25 mg to 5.0 mg
Say you want to take a 3mg dose
To determine the volume of Kirkland Minoxidil (which contains 50 mg of minoxidil per 1 ml) that corresponds to 3 mg:

V = mass/concentration = milligrams
V = 3mg/50mg/ml = .06 ml
So, 3 mg of minoxidil is equivalent to 0.06 ml of the solution.
Active Ingredient: Approximately 3 mg of minoxidil.

Inactive Ingredients: The remaining ~94%–95% of that 0.06 ml volume is comprised of the mixture of alcohol, propylene glycol, and purified water.
95% of .06 is 0.057
Based on scientific data regarding the toxicity of these substances, an ingestion of 0.057 mL (which is roughly 1 to 2 drops) of a mixture containing these ingredients is highly unlikely to be dangerous or toxic

Component Time to Leave System (Estimated)Primary Exit Route
Alcohol1–2 HoursLiver / Urine
Gases (Butane, etc.)<1 HourLungs (Exhalation)
Minoxidil12–20 HoursUrine
BHT / Additives24–72 HoursUrine / Feces

The main reason that this is said to be dangerous is because It is easy to do it wrong and use too much. I have just proven that .06 of the solution would be safe to ingest daily.

DOING IT SAFELY
Use a 1 mL Syringe: A 1 mL syringe is the most precise tool for this small volume.
Read the Lines: Look for the, generally, 0.02 mL markings (0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08).
Position the Plunger: Draw the liquid until the top black line of the plunger stopper is precisely on the mark.
Eye Level: Measure at eye level to ensure accuracy.
Check for Air: Ensure there are no air bubbles, as they will disrupt the accuracy of such a small measurement.

WHY THIS IS BETTER
Kirkland topical minox
Total Volume: 360 ml or 12 oz total, 6 bottles).
So doing the math: a 6 pack of kirkland mixox is 33$
360 / .06ml = 6000
6000 /365 = 16.43836 years. It will prob expire b4 you can use it all, however, 1 bottle of oral is about 15$ and that's for a 60 day supply. For a duration of 16.43836 years, assuming you take one pill per day, the total cost would be approximately $1,501.03.
$1501.03 > $33

Not risky
In over 1,000 patients treated with low-dose oral minoxidil (LDOM), the most frequent adverse effect (AE) was hypertrichosis in 15.1%. Systemic AEs included lightheadedness in 1.7%, fluid retention in 1.3%, tachycardia in 0.9%, headache in 0.4%, periorbital edema in 0.3%, and insomnia in 0.2%, according to Sergio Vañó-Galván, MD, PhD, of the Hospital Universitario Ram on y Cajal in Madrid, and co-authors, including some from New York University in New York City and the University of Miami.

I read through all of this. You put a lot of effort into this with the calculations and research. Respect!

I think it is simply easier to take oral minoxidil tablets than using this method though. The purpose of the other ingredients in the topical minoxidil is likely to help it absorb easier into the scalp. Oral minoxidil tablets can be very cheap, and you do not have to worry about doing all these calculations for other ingredients as you would have to do for ingesting topical minoxidil orally.

Where to get it?

Where to get it?
If you live in the United Kingdom, you can get a legal online prescription from Oxford Online Pharmacy. You can also get it from a trusted and verified Indiamart seller.

Typical 13 year old brainrotted users in this thread. I've been doing this for a couple days, and so far I've not experienced any problems. Though, my topical solution has only EtOH, PG, and MX, so to get like 2.5mg of MX I only need 0.05 ml which will never get me drunk, and the PG shouldn't be a problem either.

The thing that stood out to me with the ingredients of the Kirkland formulation was the isobutane and propane. I'm not sure if I could take that honestly, it'd irk me to no end that I'm basically consuming lighter fluid even if it should technically be safe even over long periods in such small amounts lol
