Hey, here im going to talk a little bit about different drugs. Im open to critic and I would be glad to hear what I could have missed or wrote wrong.
Im going to update it a lot of times, for sure, nothing is ideal
GABA drugs
GABA drugs are a group of drugs that affect GABA (GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid, γ-aminobutyric acid) is the chief inhibitory neurotransmitter in the developmentally mature mammalian central nervous system. Its principal role is reducing neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system)
We know GABA-a and GABA-b receptors. GABA-a is a receptor that alcohol binds to. GABA-b is more like phenibut or baclofen (less calcium channel activity gabapentinoids) or GHB
GABA drugs are gabapentinoids, Z-drugs, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, alcohol and a lot more less popular drugs.
For example, alcohol is GABA-a receptor positive modulator, so if you will take another GABA-a receptor drug (like benzos), it will get a lot more potent.
GABA drugs are really good for inhibition and your mood, and sleep. But, GABA drugs are addictive and can be dangerous in a bad-use case.
Norepinephrine–dopamine releasing agents or reuptake inhibitors
Norepinephrine–dopamine releasing agents are drugs that affect one of the most important neuromediators - noradrenaline (norepinephrine) and dopamine. Noradrenaline stimulates you a lot, promotes concentration and gives you a lot of energy. Dopamine also helps you concentrate and gives you a mild good feeling.
The most known drugs of this class are cocaine, amphetamine (and its derivatives like dextroamphetamine), methamphetamine, bupropion, methylphenidate, MDMA and more.
Some drugs of this class are allowed in medical use, for narcolepsy, ADHD, obesity and more.
Cocaine is a reuptake inhibitor, not releasing agent, and it also affects serotonin. It produces concentration, CRAZY inhibition, euphoria, reduced fatigue and appetite. The freebased version of cocaine is known as crack-cocaine, which is smoked and a lot more destructive drug than just cocaine. At this moment, cocaine does not have any medical use. But before, cocaine was used as a local anesthetic.
Amphetamine is releasing agent, which is famous for treating ADHD. It promotes concentration, sometimes it could affect inhibition, and also it is an anorectic, which means appetite is really low. For example, on cocaine you CAN eat and food is good, but you just don't have an appetite. But on amphetamine, your appetite is fucked and food feels like garbage, you are not even 1% interested in eating. Personally, on amphetamine, soups or some liqiud food are saving.
MDMA is recreative drug that also affects serotonin, it produces stimulation and a good euphoria. Not really addictive and tolerance is high. Harmful if you wont take a 3-month break between usage. On high doses, or if you will take one more dose in the end of effect of first, it is going to produce the same effect with delirium-like hallucinations. Cool recreative drug, but never use it too much and too often.
Opioids
I would highly reccomend to NEVER try opioids, especially harder ones.
Opioids are drugs that affect opioid receptors. They have medical used as pain relief medicine, supressing cough and anesthesia.
The most famous opioids are fentanyl, heroin, oxycodone, hydromoprhone, morphine, tramadol, tapentadol, codeine, methadone and a lot more
Opioids are addictive and harmful as a fuck.
They can lower the inhibition, produce crazy euphoria. I would explain mu-opioid receptor euphoria like every part of your body is a dick, and you have best orgasm in your entire life for the time drug works.
Some of them also produce stimulation, like tramadol or tapentadol, because these drugs also affect serotonin and noradrenaline.
Opioids are going to fuck you up, please don't do them, they are going to take your whole life. Be careful and aware
Cathinones
Cathinones is a class of drugs that are not really famous in United States, more famous in Europe, especially Eastern Europe and post-soviet countries.
Cathinones are drugs like mephedrone (4-mmc), 3-mmc, 3-cmc, alpha-pvp, MDMC, pyrovalerones and more.
They are really addictive and can break your life. A lot of teens in Post-Soviet countries do drugs like mephedrone or alpha-pvp and end up dead.
Effects of this drugs usually last not more than hour, and have really big binge potential.
Mephedrone affects dopamine, noradrenaline and serotonine. It produces high euphoria and stimulation, libido increase.
Alpha-pvp is a pyrovalerone, it affects dopamine and noradrenaline. Stimulation is too big, you are going to stay up for days and also be really paranoid. People burn their houses on this drug because they think FBI is right at their door.
Dissociatives
Dissociatives are drugs that produce dissociation, usually through NMDA receptors.
The most famous dissociatives are DXM, Ketamine, PCP, Nitrous, MXE and some more
They have mild addictive potential and can be harmful in long-term use.
All of NMDA receptor antagonists in long-term are causing brain damage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olney's_lesions
DXM is famous over-the-counter cough medicine. It is supressing cough and affect NMDA receptors. In high doses it is producing hallucinations and dissociation.
Ketamine is also a famous club drug that produces small euphoria, dissociation, anesthesia. It is mildly addictive and in long-term use also going to destroy your bladder.
PCP (aka angel dust) is a little bit old drug, a lot more addictive than DXM or Ketamine and also more harmful. It produces stimulation and easily can cause psychosis. Wild hallucinations.
Nitrous (also known as galaxy gas or laughing gas) is a nitrous oxide. Used in anesthesia and dentistry. Small euphoria, dissociation and pain-reducing effect. Causes neurogical damage when abused chronically.
Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids are drugs that affect cannabinoid receptors. The most famous cannabinoid is weed, but there is also some synthetic cannabinoids like JWH-018 which is included in spice
Low addiction potential, only small psychological dependence and reduce of appetite, diarea.
Cannabinoids highly increase appetite, produce mild euphoria and sedating effect, depenging on a strain
By far, one of the best and safest recreational drugs out there.
Psychedelics
Psychedelics is a big class of drugs, most of which are serotonin receptor agonists (usually 5-HT2A)
They cause a lot of different effects like: hallucinations, some euphoria, sometimes stimulation. It really depends on people
Sometimes psychedelics can cause a bad trip - which means you took too much, or just can't control yourself. Also bad trip can happen is you got the wrong psychedelic, for example 25C-NBOMe instead of LSD
The most famous of them are LSD, NBOMe's, DOB, 2C-B, DMT, Mescaline, Psylocibin and a lot more.
Designer psychedelics like NBOMe, DOB and 2C-B are neurotoxic and can be dangerous.
Psychedelics can affect inhibition positively for a long time after using them (personally, around 2 weeks). They can help with your anxiety, trauma and a lot more.
Really good tool to explore your inner world.
LSD is really famous psychedelic, it produces hallucination and insight thoughts. Really wide effect. Only reccomend if you have good self-control.
NBOMe's are synthetic designer psychedelics that cause stimulation besides hallucination. They are more unstable and a lot more higher bad-trip chance than LSD. Neurotoxic.
2C-* are a synthetic designer psychedelics that also produce euphoria. Really interesting effect, small chance of a bad trip.
DMT is a psychedelic drug that occurs naturally in human and a lot of plants, animals. Causes short-lasting really intense hallucinations, rapid onset.
Psylocibin is a psychedelic that occurs to be in magic mushrooms and produces LSD-like hallucinations, but more spiritual. Popular in form of chocolates and smoothies.
Always be careful with psychedelics, a bad-trip can have really bad consequences like HPPD or even a suicide
HPPD is Hallucinogen persisting perception disorder, is a disorder when you have some hallucinations or distortions even when the trip ended.
A good reminder - LSD never has any taste. So if you put a tab in your mouth and it has a taste (metallic on something), remove it as soon as possible, if you dont want to trip on NBOMe or something else.
Im going to update it a lot of times, for sure, nothing is ideal
Drugs can destroy your life, or help it. The difference is how you treat and control it. Have selfcontrol and don't abuse any drugs. Not promoting drug use, raising awareness
